Version 3 Update

Just a note to say that I have done the latest update to Fantasy Map Maker, and version 3 is now available.

Here are some changes:
1. Quests have been reduced from 9 per game to 6, while bonus points for special feature placement have been added (hopefully this is overall easier to manage due to the bonus points only needing to be looked at during placement - however technically there are more scoring criteria now).
2. Game sheets have been optimized for slightly more economic printing (removing backgrounds).
3. The number of quests has increased from 18 to 36 - these are now in the form of cards that can be overlaid on player game sheets (page 1) for reference.
4. Quests are now divided into 6 categories, and there are 6 quests per category for greater variety in challenges and in the resulting maps.
5. Special features are now tied to the quest choice, so they will be different for each game.
6. Half of the special features are more fantasy-themed in nature.
7. Cliffs have been added as a spreading feature - they function similarly to coastlines, but can be placed on land.
8. Counting villages and cities has been simplified to counting how many roofs rather than the buildings - a house has 1 roof, a tower has 2, and a castle has 3, so bigger buildings have more value in this regard. Also, this should be easier to count the villages/cities as sometimes the buildings themselves tended to blend together on the map, but the roofs stand out a bit more. Villages require 5 roofs now and cities, 10.
9. A multiplayer mode has been added.

Thanks for all the support. Follow the Fantasy Map Maker page on BoardGameGeek for updates, to see finished maps, or even post your own map!
